When compared with the inconvenience and messiness of trying to cook over a campfire three meals a day, an inexpensive camp stove is well worth the price you pay.  Camp stoves come in a wide variety of different configurations. Unless you want to cook squatting at floor-level, it’s recommended to place the stove on a picnic table for cooking.   Other stoves have a large four-burner capacity, larger propane tanks, and legs. The first two types are good for casual camping enthusiasts camping in groups or families. The second is good for the camper/backpacker who is traveling alone or is just cooking for himself.
