Leg Workout Made Me King Of The Mountain

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Me and a group of buddies planned a hiking trip along the Appalachian Mountain trail for spring break. I knew the trip would entail a lot of time on my feet while carrying a heavy pack so I want to be in tip top shape. So I devised a workout to make sure I was leading the hike rather than lagging behind, my preferred one being Beachbody’s

P90X® Workout Program Review.

I made a pretty standard three day a week full body routine, but I made sure to include some heavy leg exercises mixed in with leg focused cardio. I did heavy squats and dead-lifts every Monday, Wednesday, Friday for two months before the trip. I did high weight and lower to midrange reps to build strength in my legs and lower body. Then I ended my workouts with 45 minutes on a stair climber for cardio and to fully blast my claves. With this prep work, when it came time for my hike my body was so prepared I could have continued hiking for another 2 weeks! All my friends wished they had prepared even a fraction of the amount I had and most vowed to work out and prepare before the next hike they go on.

Strength Training at the Gym

Fitness and health have become an important issue today, due to a number of diseases which you can get if you live a sedentary life. There are so many lifestyle diseases which you can get by staying inactive, that it is inadvisable to live the life of a couch potato. The new trend of having fit and muscular bodies has made people head to the gym to get that well sculpted look, so we recommend the Beachbody’s P90X® Workout Program Review.

Building muscles isn’t something which can be done overnight. Some people visit a gym and push themselves to the extreme in the hope of getting rock-hard abs within a very short time. Doing this can only harm you as the body has its own limit of handling stress. Fitness and muscle building is a long term goal which should be pursued with the help of a trainer who guides you through different exercises and different stages. Don’t go overboard and starting lifting heavy weights in the hope of getting muscular, you will end up harming your body instead of getting any benefit.
