Whenever we are invited to a camping trip, we always feel excited until we begin to wonder what might happen there. Though the heart is always overwhelmed with the joy to be at a new place and with the urge to have adventure, there is always the fear of getting ourselves away from everyone and everything. However, it is the actual fun part in camping- we can discover ourselves enjoying in ways that we generally don’t.

What we can do during the camping trips really depends on who the campers are. The preparations for adult groups and family groups will be entirely different. But one thing that everyone can enjoy is cooking. When everyone is participating in the whole process, everyone will find something interesting and enjoyable. Barb-e-cue could be a good idea. You can use turkey, chicken or anything that you think is appropriate.

Apart from eating, arrangements for some fun activities must be done too. If there are child campers, you can take certain toys to help them enter into the nature. You can allow them to gather different woods for bonfire. Moreover, depending on your camp site, you can assign them different challenges like building castles or statues with sand or clay. You might be even surprised to see how these children would surpass your imagination. Children usually love to do these, though they might get dirty! But it is worthy.

Nonetheless, there must be scope for physical activities for adults too. They can play Frisbee, football or volleyball. These games complement the natural ambience very well. Another adventurous job could be hiking or cycling through the woods.  Strikingly, when all the adults join to play these games they certainly can get an essence of their childhood.

If these aren’t enough, you can always use the waters. Whichever site you may choose, you would be able to find lake, stream or maybe a waterfall. If you are camping in the summer, nothing can match the water sports. You can forget about your clothes and jump into the cool water. You can swim or dive under the water to find treasures. And you can obviously fish at any time. If you are staying for long, this water would be your primary water supply. So, apparently water-filters would be necessary to purify the water.

The night during the camping could be the most memorable part. You can sit around a bonfire and sing songs and play acoustic guitar or flute. If you want to make the environment serious, then you can start with scary stories, though this won’t be very appropriate for children. Nevertheless, you can also play different card games, pillow passing or truth and dare. Since there won’t be electricity, you should take torchlight and flashlight with you, especially for the younger and older ones. Your trip will be enjoyable only if you don’t return home sick. So, you should take precautions beforehand.

So, camping gear such as reliable buck knives or faithful compasses become even more imperative to make your camping trip turn out to be memorable and fun!
