Man may be fond of living in big cities, in beautiful houses with every sophisticated item readily available at home.  He might revel in luxury for most part of the year but if he is a truly adventurous man, he would love to take off to a quiet place at least once a year.

This one single adventure is enough for him to reenergize and rejuvenate himself to face the rigorous social and official demands for the rest of the year.  Just imagine, no amount of free evenings he gets is not sufficient to fill him with the exuberance and anticipation that he receives in a few days spent in an outdoor camp.  That is the reason you might have noticed many busy people and industrialists flocking to a countryside which is totally removed from the hubbubs of a city.  They take off with their Camping Gear and keep off every kind of communication too to enjoy the solitude of a distant place which is suited to their taste and allows them the freedom they look for.

I still remember it was the month of summer.  It was sweltering hot everywhere and the temperature was soaring daily.  The worst period to visit any Indian city would the months of May and June, when it would be unbearably hot in any city other than a in a hill station.

A number of my friends and me decided to go to a hill station during this time.  All of us agreed in unison that we would not stay in any lodge or hotel but would encamp in a beautiful place in the hill station.  The very thought was exciting and we set about on our journey.  We took a bus which was specially meant to cover hill track.  The climb up the hill was an incredible experience, with hills on the one side and deep gorge on the other side.  Any lapse on the part of the driver would, well, the very thought was scary!   Suffice to say that we camped in a beautiful locale with our Camping Gear and the experience was truly worth it.

If you are choosing to go camping with kids, you need to spend a little more time planning than if you were going with yourself or just other adults. It is harder to wing it with kids because complaining voices are not going to make your trip enjoyable. Simple things can make a big difference.

For example, make sure you have layers for sleeping, bug spray for the nighttime and first aid equipment even for the most basic camping trip.  It may take longer to prepare but you should bring bikes or other fun outdoor equipment that the kids can play with while you are setting up and/or just trying to relax.

If you have small children with you, you will just need one big tent, don’t try to put little kids in a separate tent or you will regret it in the middle of the night. Kids don’t generally need a soft space to sleep so feel free to leave them on the ground while you take air mattresses or mats.  You will need clothesline for hanging all the kids wet gear and flashlights for everyone.  And, you definitely need a camp stove instead of relying on your campfire for cooking.

When planning a camping trip there are some items that are essential to take.  The point of going camping is to have fun and enjoy wilderness and the company of your other camping mates.  To make a trip enjoyable I prefer to take: a tent, sleeping bag or mattress and blankets, a cooler, flashlight, and some gear for starting a fire.  I feel that these are the bare minimums for an enjoyable camping trip.

A tent is important because it keeps you dry and safe from bugs and animals.  If you have a good quality sleeping bag you will not need a mattress or blankets, but either will work.  You will need a way to see in the dark, so a flashlight or lantern can help light your way. You will need a cooler to keep your food fresh and safe so that you do not starve.  Lastly, you will need some basic items for starting a fire, like; matches, lighter, scrap paper, and your own wood if you can feasibly bring it.  These items will ensure that you have a safe and happy camping trip.

No matter what stories your grandfather told you about how he courageously camped out in the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on his back and a can of beans, you should always make sure you have the necessary supplies to camp safely. A tint is always a necessity when camping no matter what your friends and family has convinced you. You should have sleeping bags inside the tint to keep you warm as well as food and a gas powered grill or safely prepared fire pit to cook it on.     There once was a foolish man who thought he could do the be courageous like the grandfather. He decided to camp with only food and a sleeping bag. “I’m a real man, I don’t need a tent!” the man proclaimed to his wife and friends. His wife tried to convince him it would be much too cold to do such a thing, but the man’s pride and ego had clouded his brain and the wife realized his mind was made up. So she allowed him to continue his irrational decision. It had grown late into the night and everyone was asleep, the wife and friends in their warm tints and the man near the fire in his sleeping bag.

Suddenly, an intense piercing in the man’s left shoulder awakened him. He immediately swiped his right hand at it and to his surprise it was a rattlesnake now fleeing back into the brush just outside their campsite. In a drowsy state of mind, half from being awoken from sleep, the other from the poison just injected in his veins, the man stumbled to his wife’s tent and told her what had happened. She grabbed her cell phone and called an ambulance and the man was taken care of. If only the man had used a tint, he could have avoided all confrontation with creatures from the wild.

Most Catamarans are dual-hulled boats, meaning that they contain two different hulls, called Amas, separated by two poles, called Akas, which typically carry a platform between them. Most Catamarans differentiate in sizes, although recently they have drifted towards the larger side, becoming bigger and bigger, until today, where they are commonly very large boating vehicles.

One different type of Catamaran is the Pontoon boat. This boat is very similar to the typical Catamaran, but instead has a platform that is placed on the Akas, with additional flotation devices underneath. It is very cheap to make and is very conventional. Most of these boats are motor powered, and are very stable. Many are passenger boats as well. They require no ballast, and this makes them very, very efficient.

Another type of Catamaran, known as the Swatch (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) is another common type of Catamaran. It was invented by Canadian Frederick G. Creed during the year of 1938. These Catamarans have very, very broad decks, but much, much higher water resistance than mono-hulled boats of comparative size. The increased size, allows for increased displacement, which makes them extremely efficient in rough water, and these vessels are commonly used in navy’s across the world.

When camping it’s important to have the right camping gear for your trip.  Having too little gear can make the experience a little more difficult.  For example, if you’re planning starting a fire and cooking out, not having a match or lighter to light your fire can make it more difficult than it needs to be.  Forgetting the stakes for your tent can render your tent almost useless.

Before you set out, make sure you thoroughly think your trip through from start to finish.  Make a note of everything you’ll need for each part of your camping experience.  Planning ahead like this will make your camping trip so much more relaxed as you can feel confident you’ve got everything you need.

You want to be sure you plan for any issues that might come up, beyond your typical camping activities. For example, it’s always a good idea to have a well stocked first-aid kit. So long as you’re careful and pay attention to what you’re doing, it’s unlikely you’ll need it but you can never be too prepared.

Taking your kids camping is a great way to get some family bonding time. While there are lots of places to hike and play during the day, you’ll likely want to keep the kids close at hand when night falls.  For this reason, it’s a good idea to have a few night time activities for the kids.

One fun idea is to make shadow puppets.  These are made by forming different shapes with your hands and flashing a flashlight over them to make different shapes on the wall of the tent. There are countless different shapes you can make.  You can even have them make animal shapes and make up a story for the animals as they go along.

Another fun idea is to play an I Spy game.  This is done by one person picking something they can see within their line of vision. The other kids, and adults, then ask questions of the person who did the picking to try and figure out exactly what they picked.  This is a great way to get the kids thinking creatively and using their logic skills.

There are a lot of different types of campgrounds you can take advantage of on your camping trip.  The best place for you will depend on exactly what you’re looking for in a camping experience.  Some people like to go camping in a secluded wooded area. This can make them feel closer to nature.  Those who choose this type of camping experience will have a lot of privacy but will also need to make sure they bring extra camping gear. They won’t have access to things like electricity or running water and will need to make sure they pack accordingly.

Others prefer a more structured camp site.  This will be in a group camping area that will have lots of different campers around. This is nice because they get to meet a lot of new people and maybe even make life long friends.  They also will likely have access to running water and electricity.  Some campgrounds even come with a kitchen that campers are able to use.  This is nice because the campers get to have a lot of amenities, which means they can travel lighter, but they will miss out on some of the more rustic aspects of camping.
